War in Ukraine: Security Council meeting on biological weapons issue

This Friday, March 11, the UN Security Council met on the situation in Ukraine at the request of Russia this time. The latter claimed to have discovered about thirty laboratories developing biochemical weapons on Ukrainian soil, a crude maneuver of disinformation, denounced the Western countries.

A « network » of thirty laboratories, in a dozen cities, laboratories conducting experiments with strains of « very dangerous » diseases such as plague, cholera, and chemicals such as anthrax and all working with the U.S. Department of Defense. This is the discovery that Russian soldiers have allegedly made on Ukrainian soil over the past 14 days, according to the Russian ambassador, and which he wanted to share with the Security Council on Friday.

Irresponsible provocations

The U.S. ambassador denied it, and Western countries spoke of disinformation and irresponsible provocations. « Russia’s lies fool no one (…) This disinformation campaign could be the prelude to the use of a chemical or biological weapon orchestrated by Russia in Ukraine, » said Ambassador Nicolas de Rivière.

Correct information

This is indeed what Secretary of State Antony Blinken had hinted three weeks ago, that Moscow would use such an excuse to then bomb Ukraine with chemical weapons. However, all the information gathered by the American secret service that has been shared so far has proven to be correct.
