A course worthy of a fighter
First woman guardian of the peace in Senegal, this worthy girl of the soil erased by Abdou Diouf, knew during 7 years to learn to survive face the injustice.
Reintegrated a seventh year later, she courageously served with the municipal police of Dakar until the 2000s when she later began to carry out missions in Africa (mission of peacekeeping in Darfur for example).
Commander of the Senegalese National Police, Seynabou Diouf was rewarded for her service with MONUSCO – the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) -.
Within MONUSCO, Commander Diouf is currently leading a working group to help prevent and combat sexual exploitation and abuse in Goma, North Kivu.
The Senegalese policewoman is also in charge of the MONUSCO Police Women’s Network, which links women policewomen in training, coaching, professional development and mutual support activities.
