In a videoconference meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the head of Turkish diplomacy Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, on the instructions of his President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, praised the leadership of King Mohammed VI and the role of Morocco as a pole of stability in the region.
The two heads of Moroccan and Turkish diplomacy, Nasser Bourita and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, praised the excellence of the relations of friendship and bilateral cooperation and agreed on the need to reactivate the partnership mechanisms, through the organization of new sessions of the political dialogue and the Joint Commission. They stressed the importance of consolidating the economic partnership through the establishment of a roadmap for the promotion of investments taking advantage of the new value chains.
Nasser Bourita and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu thus announced the organisation, on the sidelines of the next Joint Commission, of an economic forum focusing mainly on trade and investment. The two ministers also exchanged views on the health situation and on the efforts made in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. They decided, on this occasion, to mutually recognise the vaccination certificates issued by the respective authorities of the two countries.
Stressing the convergence of views on regional and international issues, Nasser Bourita and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu pledged to continue coordination and consultation on issues of common interest, including Libya, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also took the opportunity, on the instructions of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to salute « the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the role of Morocco as a pole of stability and development in the region.
