The Tunisian opponent, Nabil Karoui, following a sudden illness, was once again transferred from his prison cell to a hospital, on Sunday 13 June 2021.
On hunger strike for eight days, the Tunisian opponent, who was first admitted to the emergency room last week, was again transferred to a hospital in this North African country on Sunday 13 June 2021, following a sudden illness. Following the deterioration of his health, Nabil Kraoui was transferred to hospital in an emergency during the night of 7 to 8 June 2021. Despite his critical state of health, he was returned to prison on 9 June 2021.
The family of the opponent denounces the silence of the Tunisian authorities, despite the multiple calls on his state of health, which is deteriorating day by day. The situation, according to his relatives, is all the more worrying as Nabil Karoui continues his hunger strike and is in its eighth consecutive day. The opponent, in order to challenge the procedures he considers illegal, has refused to eat.
Blaming any complication of his health on the Tunisian authorities, Nabil Karoui’s family informs that the opponent had been forced to return to prison, despite his health condition. The relatives of the politician also denounce the fact that the authorities refuse to provide them with a copy of his medical file. They sound the alarm and alert national and international opinion.
