The Voice Afrique francophone season 3 had its epilogue last night. The representative of Burkina Faso, Lady Shine, is the lucky winner.
After more than three hours of show with the presence of African music dinosaurs such as the Ivorian Bailly Spinto, the Cameroonian André Marie Tala and the young generation represented by the Ivorian DJ Kerozen, the Beninese Sessimè and the Malian Sidiki Diabaté, the vote was in favour of Lady Shine from Nanyanka Bell’s team (replaced by Youssoupha). The representative of Burkina Faso takes the trophy, the 10 million CFA francs envelope and will benefit from the production of a single by Universal Music Africa.
It is worth noting that more and more internet users are questioning the relevance of the public’s and viewers’ vote to choose the winner, which sometimes is not always the most talented candidate. It is therefore up to the competition organising team to assess this and to advise if necessary.
