Tanzanian President John Magufuli, who came to power in 2015 before being re-elected in 2020, died of « heart problems » on Wednesday 17 March 2020.
John Magufuli is no more. The Tanzanian President died of heart problems. This was announced on Wednesday 17 March 2021 on television by the Vice President, Samia Suluhu Hassan. The death comes after more than two weeks of unexplained absence of the head of state.
« It is with great regret that I inform you that today, 17 March 2021, at 6pm, we have lost our courageous leader, the President of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli, » said Samia Suluhu Hassan. While there are zombies surrounding his death, some believe that the leader died of Coronavirus, a disease that John Magufuli never believed in.
John Pombe Magufuli was born on 29 October 1959. He held several ministerial positions during his career. He was elected President of the Republic of Tanzania on October 25, 2015, before being re-elected on October 25, 2020 for a second term that he unfortunately will not have the opportunity to complete, taken by death.
