Idrissa Gana Guèye must wear the Parisian jersey with a number in LGBT colors. This is at least what seems to be required by the footballistic-political world of France. The Paris Saint Germain, the association for the defense of homosexuals, ministers and even a former candidate for the presidential elections of 2022 (Pécresse) have fallen on the head of the Lion of Teranga because he refused to play the match supposedly against homophobia which is actually a match for the promotion of homosexuality.
Thus, through sport, in this case soccer, the West, in this case France, wants to ignore religious, political and philosophical convictions in order to impose its point of view on the whole world. Whether one is for or against homosexuality, one must promote it, in the name of who knows what logic.
Meanwhile, there are thousands of issues that deserve the world’s attention, but the West and its savage capitalism don’t care. Food insecurity, the living conditions of workers around the world, the fate of certain minorities all over the world (Muslims in France or in India, Blacks in the United States, Uyghurs in China…) do not concern the West.
It is rather the promotion of the depravity of morals that is set up as a super priority. And to do this, sport is used as a weapon of propagation. Under the pretext that it conveys values such as respect and tolerance, they want to use it as a way to impose their ideas and convictions. As if politics, economy and other fields of activity do not or should not promote the same values.
If we look at it closely, especially with the recent news in Ukraine, we realize that sport has almost nothing to do with sports. We already knew it was eminently economic and touristic, we even knew it was diplomatic, but the war between Russia and Ukraine shows that sport in the hands of the West is also strategic.
Before this conflict, the governing bodies of the different sports have proclaimed their distance from politics. To the point that each time a state interfered in the management of sport, its team or teams were immediately suspended. Many normalization committees have been set up in Africa, for example, to avoid political control.
But since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, to put pressure on Moscow, the governing bodies of sports have initially suspended the Russian teams. The possibility was given to individual athletes to compete outside the Russian flag. But in the end, the Olympic Committee simply decided to exclude all the athletes from Russia.
However, first in 1991, then in 2003, the United States attacked Iraq for supposed weapons of mass destruction in the hands of Saddam Hussein. Iraq was plundered by US-made missiles without any American or British athlete being suspended.
Golden Ball, Nobel Peace Prize, Goncourt…
More recently, France invaded Libya, assassinated Muammar Gaddafi and sowed chaos that is still ongoing, with a Prime Minister who left Tripoli to set up his government in Sirte. Despite the lack of a valid argument for this aggression, not a single French athlete has been excluded from a competition.
Since the end of the Second World War, the powerful army of Israel has not stopped sowing death in Palestine. The land of this state is shrinking day by day as a result of colonization. Apart from condemnations in principle, nothing is done. As for the sporting world, it has decided to turn a blind eye, because Europe and the United States are not interested.
It is easy to understand why Beijing wanted to have an attractive championship by attracting some soccer stars at the end of their career. The same method is used by oil-rich Gulf countries such as Qatar. Meanwhile, Turkey is doing its best to have teams at the same level as Barcelona, Real, Liverpool or Bayern Munich.
The war has never been only military, but in the 21st century, it is also sporting. Erdogan, Xi Jinping and Putin would also like to have this leather weapon, which is both persuasive and dissuasive in economic, diplomatic and strategic terms.
In truth, the Nobel Peace Prize, the World Golden Ball, the Marc Vivien Foé Prize, the Rfi Discovery Prize, the Ghislaine Dupont Prize, the Oscars, the Best Film of Cannes, the Goncourt Prize are all soft power that the West uses on occasion to promote its vision and interests. While waiting for Africa to wake up!
