The leader of Pastef les Patriotes, Ousmane Sonko, charged and placed under judicial supervision after a complaint of repeated rapes and death threats, continues his visits to the leaders of opposition political parties and civil society organizations. He was received this Tuesday morning by members of the movements « Frapp France Dégage » and « Doyna ».
These two organizations, according to Ousmane Sonko, share many things with the party Pastef and their members have mobilized to participate in the fight « against the plot against (his) person. « They have mobilized on the ground to enable us to establish the balance of power that everyone has seen, » said Ousmane Sonko. He continued his argument, reminding us that the movement « France Frapp Dégage » has no problem with France in particular.
In addition, the opponent spoke about the demonstrators who were arrested during the events of recent days. And it is to demand that they all be released. « We have more than 120 people in the jails of Macky Sall. The fight is not limited to Guy Marius Sagna. All those who are detained have the same value and importance for us. We hope that they will all be released from prison in the next few days. We have accepted to make our social regulators play their role. We have accepted the « Ndiguel » of the Khalife and all other religious leaders by renouncing certain demonstrations, » said Ousmane Sonko, without giving a warning to Macky Sall and his regime. « If our demands are not met, we will do again what we have already done. The people are motivated and determined. I think that the government has deciphered the message that was sent to him to take it into account. The second wave is likely to be more devastating than the first, » he warned.
« We want a fairer partnership
« The question of sovereignty is one that we raise with all partners. We no longer want unbalanced relations. We will no longer accept that someone comes to take our resources when our people need these riches more. It is a legitimate fight that is not directed against France, » explained Ousmane Sonko, maintaining that he wants to remove the amalgams that can be perceived as animosity directed against a country. This, in his opinion, has never been the case. « We want a much fairer partnership, » he insists.
On the French brands, including Auchan and Total, which were attacked during the demonstrations, Ousmane Sonko said that it was not politically motivated. « I believe that break-ins exist everywhere. When there was the yellow waistcoats demonstration in France, there was breakage. These break-ins reflect first of all the failure of the economic and social policies of the regime in place. This regime has not been able to reduce unemployment or poverty. And when people take advantage of these situations to break and enter, they go where there is abundance, » said Sonko who did not fail to deplore all the scenes of looting.
