At the AIPAC conference, the powerful pro-Israel movement, last Thursday, Nasser Bourita accused Iran of « threatening the territorial integrity of Morocco by supporting the Polisario. « These are baseless allegations, » the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Saturday.
« It is regrettable that the government of Morocco, which currently holds the chairmanship of the Al Quds Committee, is diverting attention from the burning issue of the Muslim world, namely the fight against the new aggression in Al Quds and the defense of the rights of the Palestinian people, while the Muslim world needs more than ever unity and solidarity, » he said.
It should be noted that Nasser Bourita made these accusations before the penetration of Israeli forces into the Al Aqsa Mosque and other parts of Jerusalem, which left a hundred Palestinians injured. « The Moroccan government is unable to solve its own regional problems and has once again repeated its unfounded allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran while supporting the criminal regime of Israel, » he added.
