Student stabbed in Grand Yoff housing estate
There is sadness and consternation in HLM Grand-Yoff where a national of the Republic of Congo was fatally attacked at around 2am.
The victim is called Lotaly Mollet (28), a 4th year student in banking and insurance at the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique of the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar
According to sources, on her way back from a presentation in preparation for her exam, she was stabbed near Hyacinthe Thiandoum College.
The Congolese woman’s body was taken to the morgue of the Aristide Le Dantec hospital in Dakar.
One of the assailants is in the hands of the police of Grand-Yoff where an investigation is underway.
As announced earlier, one of the alleged killers of Congolese student Lotaly Mollet, who was fatally assaulted last night in HLM Grand-Yoff, is in the hands of the police.
But, according to Libération online, the attacker was chased and overpowered by a taxi driver. He is being heard under the regime of police custody.
It should also be noted that the victim arrived in Senegal in 2017 to pursue her higher education with one of her sisters.
She is described as a hardworking, serious and very human student.
Lotaly Mollet was killed as she was returning from a presentation in preparation for her exam scheduled for this weekend.
