Princess Lalla Khadija of Morocco, daughter of King Mohammed VI and Princess Lalla Salma, is preparing to spend a very special week. And why?
Flashback: at the announcement, by the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery, of the birth of Princess Lalla Khadija, manifestations of joy and rejoicing were felt throughout the Cherifian kingdom. Lalla Khadija, the second child of King Mohammed VI, after Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, had just enlarged the royal family.
The announcement of the happy news was greeted by a 21-gun salute that sounded in the middle of the capital. It was an opportunity for Moroccan men and women to take the direction of the royal palace of Rabat to present their wishes and express their joy, as Le360 reminds us.
The newspaper goes on to say that on this day in 2007, Moroccans expressed, in various forms, the marks of happiness and communion with the Royal Family by signing the Golden Books opened at the headquarters of the Directorate of Royal Protocol and the Chancellery, as well as in the various wilayas, prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom.
« The different cities of Morocco were also part of the festivities, wearing the decoration of the great days. The arteries, squares and public buildings were decorated with lanterns and covered with flags and colourful banners. To these festivities organised in the cities and countryside of the country were associated members of the Moroccan community living abroad, » the newspaper notes.
On 28 February 2007, King Mohammed VI gave instructions to families whose newborn babies were born at the same time as Princess Lalla Khadija to receive royal gifts and presents. A day like no other.
