The employees of Limak-Aibd-Summa (LAS) have been informed by the general manager of his departure as head of the company by mutual agreement with the board of directors, which met on Tuesday 23 February 2021, according to a note from the interunion and the college of delegates of LAS. He will be replaced by Askin Demir, Managing Director of 2AS.
The workers, and in particular the workers’ intersyndicale and the college of delegates of LAS, say they are standing firm to continue to make Dakar a reference in the field of airport management. « Our commitment remains intact to accompany the highest authorities of the country who want through the Emerging Senegal Plan « to make Dakar-Diass the 1st air hub of West Africa with a traffic of 5 million passengers per year by 2023 and 10 million per year by 2035 ».
They did not fail to pay homage to Xavier Mary under the impulse of whom « Senegal has continued to make qualitative leaps in terms of airport management in general and in terms of the offer of quality services notably for the passengers and other users of the airport. »
During the period of the Coronavirus pandemic, which had an unprecedented impact on the world’s air transport sector, Xavier Mary continued to mobilise agents to maintain the quality of service by taking measures to deal with the disease. Hence the certifications in the « Airport Health Accreditation » programme and the recognition of ACI-World for listening to passengers and other customers during this pandemic, finally ensures the inter-union.
