In Kenya, eight people died Friday in an attack on a bus by alleged shebab, police said.
According to a Kenyan police report, the majority of bus passengers were police officers. They were returning from a mission to their headquarters in Elwak and Mandera, on the border with Somalia.
It was then that armed men came up and intercepted the vehicle, killing eight people at once.
For the shebab, the attack bears their signature, which Nairobi did not immediately comment at the time of the incident.
Of Somali origin, the Shebab promise to fight Kenya for sending troops to Somalia to track him down.
