The President of the Ivorian Economic and Social Council Charles Koffi Diby, figure of Ivorian policy, minister several times, died Saturday at the age of 62 years in Abidjan, announced his relatives the press.
Mr. Diby was notably minister of the Economy and the finances of the National Union governments resulting from the peace agreements from 2007 to 2012 under the presidency of Laurent Gbagbo and with the former rebel chief Guillaume Soro like prime minister.
In 2012, he briefly held this position under the chairmanship of Alassane Ouattara who then placed him in Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2016 before being appointed to the Economic and Social Council.
Leader of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI), founded by former president Felix Houphouet-Boigny, he was also deputy minister of the Economy and Finance from 2005 to 2007.
