Protesters were shot in Conakry on Monday during clashes with security forces during a march accompanying the coffins of Guineans killed in recent protests, AFP correspondent said .
The AFP correspondent saw at least two protesters shot. « We have received seven wounded, four of whom were shot in the upper body, » said Dr. Seny Fofana, a practitioner at a nearby clinic.
Hundreds of Guineans marched to the shouts of « Justice for the dead » and « Alpha, assassin », behind the coffins of eleven protesters killed in protests against a possible third term of President Alpha Conde.
Guinea, a small country of 13 million inhabitants, poor despite significant mineral resources, has been suffering from an intense protest since October 14th. The opposition figures at 14 the number of demonstrators killed since that date. Dozens more were injured, dozens arrested and tried. A policeman also died.
