The outgoing President of Guinea-Bissau, José Mario Vaz, on Thursday appointed members of the new government headed by Faustino Fudut Imbali.
Imabil’s new government team has 31 members, including 25 men and six women.
On Wednesday, October 30, the European Union condemned the president’s « illegal » attempt to dismiss the government.
The EU has also called for free, credible and transparent presidential elections.
Guinea Bissau has once again rocked into a political crisis since the sacking by President Mario Vaz of Prime Minister Aristides Gomes.
After this dismissal, ECOWAS, the Economic Community of West African States threatened sanctions against incumbent President José Mario Vaz.
