Infantino found in Lubumbashi TP Mazembe president Moïse Katumbi, a businessman, former governor of Katanga Mining and political opponent.
Mr. Katumbi is one of eight presidents of major world football teams who announced, on November 15, the creation of a world association of clubs, supposed to become an interlocutor with Fifa.
TP Mazembe is the only African club of this very select association that includes Real Madrid and AC Milan, Boca Juniors and River Plate (Argentina), Club America (Mexico), Guangzhou Evergrande (China) and Auckland City (New Zealand).
The new structure specifies that will be invited to join other clubs « eager to participate » in the new World Club.
