Kinshasa should be equipped with an air train shortly. Goal posted: to end the traffic jams, one of the points of the capital of DRC.
A successful mission. That is saying a little bit about Gentiny Ngobila’s recent mission to Malaysia. From Kuala Lumpur, capital of the Southeast Asian country, the government has indeed announced the construction by Malaysia of an airline line in the heart of Kinshasa.
It is a railway line that will be built above the level of streets or avenues on solid structures (viaducts for example) in concrete, brick or steel. This will be an aerial metro line.
A major investment whose main objective will be to provide an efficient and sustainable solution to the long-standing problem of traffic jams in Kinshasa, a city of some 17 million inhabitants. That is more than three times the Congo-Brazzaville with its 5 million souls and more than eight times Gabon.
This train could also participate in the embellishment of Kinshasa, rightly nicknamed « Kin-La-Belle » by tourists.
