The Guinean political opponent, Cellou Dalein Diallo, will not attend the funeral of the late Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, Hamed Bakayoko, scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday 17 March in Abidjan. And for good reason!
The politician, who was supposed to fly to Conakry on Tuesday, had his passport « confiscated » at the airport.
« The Liberal International, of which I am executive vice president, asked me to represent our organization at the funeral of the late Hamed Bakayoko, PM of Côte d’Ivoire, and to bring its message of condolences to HEM Alassane Ouattara, members of the RHDP, the family of the deceased and the Ivorian people, » he said on his Facebook page.
He added: « When I left Conakry for Abidjan, I was once again banned from travelling with my passport confiscated, without any notification or legal reason.
A fact which, according to him, constitutes « another manifestation of ‘governing differently' ».
