It is a new attack by Boko Haram, which took place yesterday, 27 April, in the Lake region of Chad. According to RFI, a group of jihadists attacked an advanced post of the Chadian army, located in Litri, in the department of Kaya. The attack, which cost the lives of at least 12 Chadian soldiers and several civilians, took place at around 5am.
The information was confirmed by the governor of the Lac province, Mahamat Fadoul Mackaye, who said that « the situation is now under control ». The attack is said to have disabled about fifteen jihadists. This is a very tense situation in a country that has just lost its leader, Idriss Déby Itno, who is known to have given no respite to armed groups.
