Chadian presidential candidate Alladoum Djarma Balthazar said last week during a meeting in Kélo that if the Chadian people elect him to the supreme magistracy on the evening of 11 April, « the first 100 days will be marked by major decisions ». « This Constitution will be dissolved and we will immediately proceed to consult the people by way of a referendum to re-establish the Office of the Prime Minister, » he said.

According to the ASTRE candidate, « the Primacy is the balance of power. Today, we have a Vice-President who has no power. We will send him back as we wish ». Alladoum Djarma Balthazar also announced that he will proceed « immediately to the reform of key ministries such as the Ministry of Education to dissolve the National Centre for University Works (CNOU) which is a fraudulent object ».

In a meeting in Bongor, in the province of Mayo Kebbi East, Sunday, the RNDT candidate, Pahimi Padacké Albert called on the population to vote massively for him and « bring Chad out of death ». « I am a good driver to lead this people, so do not doubt my ability and my commitment to this country, » said Pahimi Padacké Albert, to the ovations of his supporters.

« I am ashamed to see that some people close their eyes to what is happening here in Mayo Kebbi East, and on the eve of the elections, come and make false promises that will never be fulfilled.
