Cameroon, the host country of the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN), scheduled for January 9 to February 6, 2022, is doing its utmost to satisfy thousands of lovers of the king of sports, football, who will walk on the soil of the country of Samuel Eto’o. Hence the launch, by the Cameroonian Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, of a national art competition for the proposal of the official anthem and mascot of the competition.
The members of the jury, headed by the former rector, Professor Jean Tabi Manga and as vice-president, the filmmaker Basseck Ba Kobhio, made public the results of this competition on May 5, 2021, at the Yaounde Sports Palace. And « Molla » was selected as the mascot, among the 35 proposals registered.
The African Cup of Nations, the biggest celebration of African football on the continent, promises to be beautiful for the 24 teams expected in Yaounde in January 2022.
