Artist Peter, twin brother of Paul Okoye, a member of Nigerian hip-hop group P-Square, won $100,000 in a sports bet after Moroccan Hakim Ziyech and Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy’s Chelsea beat Real Madrid 2-0 in the second leg of the European Champions League semi-final at their Stamford Bridge temple yesterday.
Chelsea qualified for their third Champions League final yesterday and will face Manchester City, another English rival, in the final. Following the Blues’ 2-0 win over Real Madrid in the second leg of the semi-final of the cup, Nigerian rapper Peter, twin brother of Paul Okoye, a member of the Nigerian hip-hop group P-Square, revealed via a tweet that he had won $100,000.
He added that he might win more money in the final if Chelsea win against Manchester City on May 29. « Who would believe that I won $100,000 tonight (Wednesday) after Chelsea beat Madrid 2-0. And the same person is about to bet another $200,000 in the final against Manchester City. I smell more money, » tweeted Peter Okoye.
The 66th UEFA Champions League final, which will pit English clubs Manchester City and Chelsea against each other, takes place on 29 May 2021 at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. The venue was to have hosted the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League final, but the event had to be postponed until the following year due to the health situation in Europe caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
