« The National Council of Endogenous Cults of Benin (ConaCeb) is organising a day of training and recommendations on the roles and expectations in the exercise of the second mandate on May 5, 2021, to equip dignitaries to accompany the government in its actions in the endogenous and cultural sectors, especially for the new five-year term.

It will be a question for Prof. David Koffi Aza and his colleagues to meet and reflect together on what is their duty for a good management of cultural and religious affairs in order to respond to the aspirations of the government team to be put in place soon. In fact, there is talk of a training and information session to help dignitaries adopt practices in line with the evolution of the modern world, all to be better taken into consideration especially by the authorities.
In addition to those concerned, parliamentarians and other political authorities as well as administrative officials and specialists in the issues to be addressed are expected to attend this meeting which will be held at the Conference Hall of the Stade de l’Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou to inform participants on the legislative, legal and other frameworks for the proper valorisation of cultural and religious matters.
For David Koffi Aza, president of Conaceb, this will be an opportunity to train dignitaries on three sub-themes, ranging from the challenges to be met in the face of a developing urbanization, to the legislative framework of endogenous cults, through the advantages and privileges of social reforms. The concern, Professor David Aza continued, is to work to bring about a radical change in the behaviour of dignitaries in order to reduce the drift in practices. This is an opportunity for him to call for a joint effort to ensure the success of the event. « We are part of the logic of restoring our cultural and religious identity, to better accompany the government during this new five-year period, » he said in conclusion.
Let us note that the said meeting will be held around the theme: « New five-year term, new challenges: Partition of endogenous cults in Benin »; which theme will be addressed by listing the different stages that are:
-Practices of endogenous cults and environmental norms: challenge of a developing urbanisation
-Social reforms and practitioners of endogenous cults: assets and privileges
-Legislation and endogenous cults in Benin: state of play and perspectives
We therefore wish this innovative activity of ConaCeb every success!
