Determined to play a full role in the African air transport industry, Air Senegal signed yesterday in Dubai a delivery protocol for five A220 aircraft ordered from Airbus, announced a press release made public.
The first deliveries are expected in 2023, says the text.
The text emphasizes that the carrier is giving itself the means to achieve its ambition and is looking to the future with serenity, hence the choice of the A220 as its future reference aircraft.
Equipped with great comfort, this aircraft both robust and refined, offers the same amenities as a long-haul aircraft with its large seats, spacious cabin and huge luggage compartments, » the statement said.
The operation of this aircraft is also less expensive on the market with 25% less fuel, 25% less carbon dioxide emissions, 50% less noise around the airport, » the statement said.
