Next Tuesday, January 7, we will know the name of the best African footballer 2019 at the CAF Awards in Cairo, Egypt.
The Egyptian capital, Cairo, will be the center of world football next Tuesday. It is on this day, in fact, that the names of the best African footballers, in men and in women, of the year 2019 will be revealed by the African Football Confederation (CAF).
The highlight of this ceremony remains the designation of the best player to be played between three of the best footballers on the continent and in Europe: the Senegalese Sadio Mané, his teammate in Liverpool, the Egyptian of Liverpool Mohamed Salah, double holder of the title, which could however lose its crown this year, and the Algerian of Manchester City Riyad Mahrez, champion of Africa with the Fennecs.
Three African journalists, Nuhu Adams from Ghana, Samuel Ahmadu from Nigeria and Evance Mlando from Tanzania give their views on who they think is the most deserving. And the trend is rather favorable to the Senegalese striker Sadio Mané. The vice-champion of Africa has also won the favor of Internet users in a poll carried out by Africanews on his Twitter page.
